Cops: N.J. woman brought gun, knife to Philadelphia International Airport

A N.J. woman is in custody after allegedly bringing a gun and knife to Philadelphia International Airport.

Philadelphia police said Kathryn Spiropoulos, 53, of Ewing, was arrested after the weapons were found in her purse around 6:50 a.m. Wednesday, as she was going through the security checkpoint at Terminal D.

Spiropoulos allegedly had a Glock Model 30 .45-caliber semiautomatic handgun loaded with a magazine containing 10 live rounds and a credit card-shaped object that folded into a knife.

Police said Spiropoulos does not have a license to carry. She will be charged with a violation of the Uniform Firearms Act, according to investigators.
