A man died this morning after a shooting in West Philly, police said.

A man died this morning after a shooting in West Philly, police said.

Officers from the 19th District found the victim, 30, shot once in the chest about 10:30 a.m. on 55th Street near Westminster Avenue, police spokeswoman Officer Leeloni Palmiero said.

He was taken to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, where he was later pronounced dead.

No information on a motive or a suspect is available, and police are interviewing witnesses.
