An argument between two men led to a quadruple shooting that has left a toddler dead and three adults wounded in Grays Ferry.

Just after 9:30 p.m., four people were shot on Etting Street near Tasker, police said.

One of those victims was a 3-year-old girl, who was hit in the left side of her chest. She was taken to the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, where she was pronounced dead about an hour later, police said.

The other three victims, two men and a woman, were taken to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.

One of the men, who was shot in the head, is in critical condition, while the other two were shot in their arm and legs. They're in stable condition, police said.

According to investigators, the gunfire was sparked by an argument between a man on a bike and the male victim who was shot in the head.

As the fight became more heated, the cyclist pulled out a handgun and fired three shots. One hit the other man in the head. Two passersby, the adult victims, were grazed by stray bullets.

And the child, innocently sitting on the porch of a nearby home, was also hit by a stray bullet, one that would later kill her.

Detectives are questioning a person of interest tonight in the incident, police said.
