A Community College of Philadelphia student who allegedly pulled a gun on another student during an argument at the Spring Garden Street campus was ordered held on $250,000 bail Thursday.

Ryan Fitch, 23, of the 9500 block of State Road in Northeast Philadelphia, appeared before a Common Pleas judge one day after his alleged gun threat caused a campus lockdown as city police searched for him and evacuated the Mint and the Allied Health & Sciences buildings near 17th and Spring Garden streets.

Two nearby city high schools were also locked down.

Deputy Commissioner Richard Ross said Fitch "got into an altercation with another student. He allegedly shows a handgun and says 'I'll shoot you' or something to that effect, then he leaves the classroom."

He is charged with terroristic threats, simple assault, reckless endangerment and possession of an instrument of a crime.

His next court appearance is scheduled for 8 a.m., June 13, at the Criminal Justice Center.
