Bustleton bank robber sought

Authorities are looking for a man who robbed a Bustleton bank Thursday afternoon.

Investigators said the suspect around 1:15 p.m. entered the M&T Bank branch located at 9375 Bustleton Ave. Once inside, he showed the teller a threatening note and demanded money before fleeing on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The suspect is described as a 5-foot-11-inch tall, thin white male in his 40s with long gray hair that authorities said may have been a wig. He was last seen wearing a red jacket, a red knit hat with multicolored stripes, sunglasses and blue jeans.

Anyone with information on the suspect or crime is asked to contact the FBI at 215-418-4000. Officials said there may be an award for information leading to the man’s capture.
