Boy, 13, robbed in Fairmount; four suspects sought

Police are looking for four teens who allegedly robbed a 13-year-old boy of his iPhone on North 22nd Street in Fairmount.

Police have released surveillance video of four teens wanted for allegedly robbing a 13-year-old boy in Fairmount last week.

The suspects approached the victim from behind around 3:45 p.m. Friday as he walked north on 22nd Street from Fairmount Avenue, police said.

One assailant allegedly wrapped his arms around the boy's neck, wrestling him to the ground.

Police said the four teens took the victim's iPhone before fleeing the area north on 22nd Street.

The 13-year-old suffered injuries to his lip and cuts to his left hand during the attack.

The suspects are described as four black males, about 14 to 16 years old. All of them were wearing hooded sweatshirts and jackets, and three were carrying backpacks, police said.
