Boil-water advisory in place for Bucks County towns

A boil-water advisory remains in place this morning for two Bucks County towns affected by a water-main break.

The North Penn Water Authority says customers in Sellersville Borough and West Rockhill Township should boil their water before drinking it or using it for cooking.

The advisory has been in effect since early Sunday, when a main break in Sellersville caused a loss of water pressure in the system.

The authority said the break was repaired Sunday night and water-pressure and tank levels had returned to normal. But the water-quality still needs to be tested, so the boil-water advisory will remain in place until at least Tuesday, officials said.

It's not known yet whether the water became contaminated due to the main break.
