Body found on SEPTA's Market Street Line; service disrupted
Inquirer staff writer Anthony R. Wood reports:
An unidentified body has been found in the track area of the SEPTA subway station at 11th and Market Streets, resulting in service disruptions this afternoon.
SEPTA said it had not yet been determined whether the victim actually had been struck by a train and said few other details were available.
As a result of the incident, SEPTA is operating shuttle buses in both directions between the 15th Street and Spring Garden Street stations on the Market Street Line.
Westbound trains are boarding on the eastbound platform at 15th Street, with normal service resumed west of 15th Street.
It was not known how long the shuttle buses would be in operation.
