Body found in Willingboro park

Officials have launched an investigation into the discovery of a man’s body Wednesday afternoon in Willingboro, N.J.

The grisly find was made around 1:45 p.m. inside Fairmount Park, according to investigators. The body has been identified only as that of a black male.

The Burlington County Medical Examiner will perform an autopsy in an attempt to determine the man’s cause of death. The investigation is being overseen by detectives from the Willingboro Police Department and the Burlington County Prosecutor’s Office.

Officials said that no further information would be released about the incident Wednesday.
