A bicyclist was in critical condition Tuesday night after being struck by a car in Hunting Park.
Police said the crash happened shortly after 7:30 p.m. on North Broad Street near the Roosevelt Boulevard.
The bicyclist, whose identity was not released, suffered a head injury and was rushed to Temple University Hospital, according to investigators.
The driver of the striking vehicle stayed on the scene, and neither drugs nor alcohol are suspected to have played a role in the crash, police said.
The Philadelphia Police Department Accident Investigation Division was continuing to probe the incident Tuesday night. It was not yet clear whether charges would be filed.
