WEST CHESTER Chester County's website has been honored by the County Commissioners Association of Pennsylvania, which cited the website's design, up-to-date content, and user-friendly navigation.

The association gave the county one of its two 2014 “Excellence in Website” awards last week.

Chester County's website, www.chesco.org, is visited more than 125,000 times each month, and is updated daily with information on all county services, from information on how to vote to online-payment options, the county said.

In addition to its website, Chester County has launched a mobile app, ChescoConnect, which supports the main website and includes special features, such as job listings, emergency alerts, and a restaurant- inspections button where patrons can send in reports to the Health Department on food establishments across the county.

Chester County Commissioner Terence Farrell said that the newly redesigned website is “continually expanding” and that new features are being added that “simplify processes and save users time and effort.”
