Valley Swim Club Controversy
On June 29, children from the Creative Steps Day Camp in Northeast Philadelphia went swimming at the Valley Club in Huntingdon Valley. The campers were subsequently disinvited from the private club, where they had paid nearly $2,000 to swim on seven Mondays, leading to allegations of racism. The story made news worldwide.
