4 charged after body found in N.J. state forest

Four people are behind bars after a 23-year-old man's body was found in a New Jersey state park over the weekend.

Police allege that the four men dumped Charles Bauer's body in the Brendan T. Byrne State Forest in Burlington County. Bauer, of Browns Mills, was found by a park visitor on Saturday morning.

New Jersey State Police said 47-year-old Patrick Bush, 19-year-old Andrew Baith, 25-year-old Brandon Dixon and 19-year-old Ryan Sweet have been charged with desecration of remains.

Authorities are still investigating how Bauer died and how the four suspects knew him, said Sgt. Adam Grossman, a state police spokesman. Grossman described the four men arrested as friends.

Bush, Baith and Sweet are being held in the Burlington County jail on $100,000 bail, Grossman said. Dixon was taken into custody in Pennsylvania and is awaiting extradition.
