3 boys seen with toy gun arrested

Three boys who ran amok in the Tioga section of Philadelphia with a gun that turned out to be a toy have been arrested and charged as juveniles.

The April 22 incident grabbed attention when it was caught on video as one of the boys was seen waving the 'replica' gun toward some girls, or women, who apparently thought they were being held-up, or worse.

Two of the other juveniles also pointed the same replica handgun at an adult male on the 3300 block of N. 16th Street.

The Philadelphia District Attorney's Office charged the boys – 10,13 and 14 – with harassment, disorderly conduct, possession of an instrument of crime and conspiracy.

Two of the boys turned themselves in last week after the surveillance video circulated. They told police the weapon was a toy.
