Man, 18, shot dead, 2 others injured in N. Philly shooting

An 18-year-old male was fatally wounded and two people were injured during a triple shooting in North Philadelphia late Friday night, police said Saturday.

An 18-year-old male was fatally wounded and two people were injured during a triple shooting in North Philadelphia late Friday night, police said Saturday.

About 10:55 p.m., police said, officers responded to the 3300 block of North 13th Street for a report of a shooting. There, they found the 18-year-old lying on the ground with several gunshot wounds, including one to his head.

The victim, whose name was not being released pending family notification, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Later, police found two additional victims of the shooting at Temple University Hospital. Both men had walked to the hospital, police said.

A 19-year-old suffered a graze wound to his left forearm and a 20-year-old was shot in his right leg. Both were treated and released from the hospital, police said.

The motive behind the shootings was not known, police said, and no arrest has been made.
