2 school police officers hurt in fight at Philly high school

Two school police officers were hurt during an altercation at George Washington High School in the Bustleton section.

Four students are in custody in connection with the incident, said Officer Christine O'Brien, a Philadelphia police spokeswoman.

"There was a disturbance," she said. It wasn't immediately known what sparked the fight.

Additional details about the students involved also weren't available. O'Brien said they could face assault charges.

O'Brien said the officers suffered minor injuries in the incident, which happened shortly after 12:15 p.m.

The school is located at 10175 Bustleton Ave.
