2 reported dead in Bucks County blaze

Two people were reportedly killed in a Tuesday night fire in Bucks County.

The blaze broke out at a home on the 300 block of North Elmwood Avenue in Middletown Township shortly before 8:30 p.m.

Middletown Fire Marshal James McGuire told the Bucks County Courier Times that one person was pronounced dead at the scene and another died at St. Mary Medical Center.

The victims are described as a couple around 60 years old. Their names have not been released.

Images from the scene show the home engulfed in heavy smoke and flames.

The cause of the blaze remains under investigation.
