2 injured in SEPTA bus crash

Two SEPTA passengers were injured this morning when the bus they were riding was involved in a crash.

SEPTA said the accident happened around 9:30 a.m. at the intersection of North 22nd Street and the Benjamin Franklin Parkway.

The transit agency said preliminary information indicated that a car ran a red light, striking the front of the Route 27 bus.

Details about the condition of the two hurt passengers or the nature of their injuries weren't immediately available.

The crash remains under investigation.
