Officer Isabel Nazario

Philadelphia Police Officer Isabel Nazario was killed Sept. 5 when the police cruiser she was riding in was broadsided by a stolen SUV in the city's Mantua section. Her partner, Officer Terry Tull, was severely injured.

Since 2006, The Philadelphia Police Department has lost four of its officers in the line of duty. Before Officer Isabel Nazario was killed Sept. 5, Sgt. Stephen Liczbinski was fatally shot in May as he pursued three bank robbers. Officer Chuck Cassidy was killed last November as he interrupted a robbery at a West Oak Lane Dunkin' Donuts. And in May 2006, Officer Gary Skerski was slain when he responded to a robbery at Pat's Cafe in Frankford.
