L&I probes partial building collapse in Queen Village

THE DEPARTMENT of Licenses and Inspections is investigating the partial collapse of a three-story property yesterday in Queen Village.

L&I Commissioner Carlton Williams said the roof of the property, on Front Street near Christian, caved in about 3:30 p.m. The building is home to the For Pete's Sake Pub.

PGW, PECO and the Fire Department responded to the collapse, but no injuries were reported.

Williams said a zoning permit for interior renovations of the second and third floors was issued to Peterbuilt Construction in June, and was altered earlier this month to include new floors and stairs.
