Woman rescued from Schuylkill

A woman was rescued Wednesday night from the Schuylkill north of Girard Avenue, police said.

Around 8:45, the woman, whose age was not available, was pulled from the river on the west side, police said. She was taken to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. Her condition was not available.

Police said it was not immediately clear how the woman got into the water. - Robert Moran
