Police probe woman's death in Kensington

Officers responding to reports of a person with a gun in Kensington early Monday morning discovered a dying woman in the street.

Police were called to the 1800 block of East Clementine Street around 1:39 a.m. The woman, whose identity is not yet known to police, was found in the road with head trauma, authorities said.

She was taken to Temple University Hospital, where she was pronounced dead at 4:06 a.m.

Police consider the case a suspicious death, and the Homicide Unit is investigating.
