Man sought in Bensalem break-in and sexual assault
Police are seeking a man who they say sexually assaulted a woman Saturday morning after he broke into a Bensalem home where she and her daughter were sleeping.
Police are seeking a man who they say sexually assaulted a woman Saturday morning after he broke into a Bensalem home where she and her daughter were sleeping.
The man entered an apartment at the Lafayette Gardens complex through an unlocked door or window, the Bensalem Township Police Department said Monday.
The woman awoke, fought with the intruder, and was assaulted before he fled, police said.
Police said they have identified a man, caught on surveillance video at a nearby Sunoco station, as a suspect. They described him as "a nonwhite male, 5'7" to 5'10", wearing glasses, and smelling of body odor."
