Many road closures set to allow races

Street closures will be in effect for the Philadelphia Half Marathon, Rothman Institute 8K and Kids Fun Run from 2 a.m. until 3 p.m. Saturday along the Benjamin Franklin Parkway between 16th and 25th Streets, and also on Kelly Drive, Martin Luther King Jr. Drive, and numerous other roads in Center City and Fairmount Park.

The following streets will be affected:

18th, 19th and 20th Streets from Arch to Callowhill Streets.

21st and 22nd Streets from Spring Garden Street to Arch.

Arch from Sixth Street to 16th.

Sixth from Race to Market Streets.

Market from Fifth to 17th Streets.

East Penn Square.

John F. Kennedy Boulevard from Juniper Street to 17th.

15th Street from Race to Chestnut Street.

16th from Chestnut to Race.

Lansdowne Drive from Girard Avenue to South Concourse Drive.

Lansdowne Drive to Centennial Circle.

Black Road.

Martin Luther King Jr. Drive.

Green Drive, Ford Road, and Chamounix Drive.

Strawberry Mansion Drive, Dauphin Drive, and Reservoir Drive.

Edgely Drive, Randolph Drive, Mount Pleasant Drive, and Fountain Green Drive.

Kelly Drive.

On Sunday, the Parkway, from 20th to 25th, will be closed from 2 a.m. to 4 p.m. Other streets along the racecourse will reopen as runners pass and the streets are cleaned.

The following streets will be affected:

18th, 19th and 20th from Arch to Callowhill.

21st and 22nd from Spring Garden to Arch.

Parkway from 20th to 16th.

Arch between 16th and Third Street.

Fourth Street between Arch and Vine Street.

Race from Sixth to Columbus Boulevard.

Columbus (southbound lanes) from Vine to Washington Avenue.

Southbound off-ramp from I-95 at Washington.

Washington from Columbus to Front Street.

Front from Washington to South Street.

South from Front to Seventh.

Sixth from Bainbridge Street to Market.

Chestnut from Sixth to 34th Street.

34th from Chestnut to Girard.

Lansdowne Drive, from Girard to South Concourse Drive.

South Concourse Drive from Lansdowne to West Memorial Hall Drive.

West Memorial Hall Drive from South Concourse to Avenue of the Republic.

Avenue of the Republic from West Memorial Hall Drive to the Catholic Fountain.

Belmont Avenue from Montgomery Drive to Parkside Avenue.

Black Road.

Martin Luther King Jr. Drive.

Kelly Drive.

Falls Bridge.

Ridge Avenue from Schoolhouse Lane to Manayunk Avenue.

Main Street from Ridge to Green Lane.

The I-676 off-ramps at 22nd (westbound) and 23rd (eastbound) will be closed Saturday and Sunday after 4 a.m. for event security preparation. Ramps at 15th-Broad may also close if needed.
