Body found wrapped in carpet in Fairmount Park

The body of a man was found wrapped in a carpet Sunday afternoon on the 2400 block of Reservoir Drive, located in Fairmount Park.

A passerby found the body in the park's woods and reported her sighting to police at 2:37 p.m. A medic pronounced the man dead at the scene, police said.

A police department release said investigators do not know the cause of death or identity of the victim. The medical examiner was notified.
