Man hit by Amtrak train in Bucks

A 27-year-old man was struck by an Amtrak train Thursday evening in Bucks County, causing a temporary halt to rail service between Philadelphia and Trenton, officials said.

A 27-year-old man was struck by an Amtrak train Thursday evening in Bucks County, causing a temporary halt to rail service between Philadelphia and Trenton, officials said.

Just before 6:50 p.m., Amtrak's Northeast Regional Train 193 hit the man near the Croydon station. Amtrak service in the area was suspended until shortly before 7:25 p.m.

SEPTA's Trenton regional rail line was also suspended in the area. Officials said the man was taken to an area hospital. His condition was not available.
