Authorities are investigating a weekend accident that left a man dead after he crashed into a utility pole in Camden County.

The one-car crash happened just before 4:30 a.m. Sunday, when 59-year-old Ricky Dawkins veered off the street, hitting a curb and then a pole, at the intersection of Chews Landing and Sicklerville Roads in Winslow Township, the Camden County Prosecutor's Office said Monday.

Dawkins, of Bridgeton, was driving a 2004 Honda Accord, officials said.

No other information was available about the crash, which remains under investigation.
