Man with critical gunshot wounds walks into hospital

A 21-year-old man was able to walk into a Frankford hospital Saturday night after being shot numerous times, police said.

The victim, whose identity was not released, was listed in critical condition at Aria Health's Torresdale campus.

Police said they responded to Aria Health's Frankford campus around 9:30 p.m. after the victim walked into the hospital seeking treatment for his wounds. He was later transferred to the Torresdale campus.

Authorities said the shooting took place on the 1500 block of Wakeling Street, just around the corner from Aria Health's Frankford campus. No motive or suspect are known.
