5 people inside Magee Rehab building injured when truck crashes into it

A truck crashed into the sliding glass doors of the Magee Rehabilitation Building in Center City at 1513 Race St., injuring five people and the driver Friday night, police said.

A truck crashed into the sliding glass doors of the Magee Rehabilitation Building in Center City at 1513 Race St., injuring five people and the driver Friday night, police said.

The accident was reported at 8:16 p.m. The driver, a 38-year-old woman, was taken to Hahnemann University Hospital and listed in stable with undisclosed injuries, police said.

Two men and three women inside the building were also injured, and also taken to Hahnemann. One of the men was in critical condition, and the other four people were listed as stable, police said.

The police Accident Investigation Division and the city's Department of Licenses and Inspections were at the scene late Friday trying to determine what happened. - Suzette Parmley
