Man, 24, shot dead in Kensington
A 24-year-old man was fatally shot in a Kensington home late Friday night, police said Saturday. The man, whose name was not released pending family notification, was shot once in the chest and once in the stomach about 10:25 p.m., in the home on the 3500 block of Frankford Avenue.

The man, whose name was not released pending family notification, was shot once in the chest and once in the stomach about 10:25 p.m., in the home on the 3500 block of Frankford Avenue.
Officers responded to the house for a report of a "person with a gun" and found the victim on the first floor of the residence, police said. They took him to Temple University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 10:48 p.m.
Police said the man did not live in the home, but did not immediately say why he was there. No arrest has been made and the motive for the shooting is not known. Homicide detectives are continuing to investigate.
