Pa. and N.J. tickets win $1M as Mega Millions jackpot jumps to $508M

Tickets sold in South Jersey and western Pennsylvania won $1 million each in Tuesday's Mega Millions drawing, but no one won the top prize, pushing the jackpot up to $508 million.

Tickets sold in South Jersey and western Pennsylvania won $1 million each in Tuesday's Mega Millions drawing, but no one won the top prize, pushing the jackpot up to $508 million.

The Pennsylvania and New Jersey winners each matched the five white balls drawn (29, 46, 53, 64 and 73) but missed the Mega Ball of 10, falling shy of the $454 million jackpot.

The top prize for Friday's drawing now stands at $508 million for the annuity, or $357 million cash.

The prize would be Mega Millions' third-largest jackpot ever and the seventh-biggest U.S. lottery prize of all time.

The jackpot has been rolling since it was last won March 8. The Mega Millions' record stands at the $656 million won in March 2012, while Powerball set the all-time record in January, when three tickets split a $1.586 billion prize.

The $1 million New Jersey winner from Tuesday's Mega Millions was sold in Cape May County, at Erma Deli, located at 635 Breakwater Road in Erma, New Jersey Lottery officials said.

Pennsylvania's winner was sold in Westmoreland County, at the S&S Corner Market at 106 Apollo Road in Mount Pleasant, Pennsylvania Lottery officials said.

Tickets sold in California, Florida, Ohio, Oklahoma and Texas also won $1 million each.

The local wins come after a Philadelphia ticket won $2 million in Friday's Mega Millions game.
