Cops: Delaware man steals golfer's cart and truck, drives to Camden

Police are looking for a man accused of taking a golf cart from a player at a Delaware course, then stealing the victim's truck and driving it to Camden.

Police are looking for a man accused of taking a golf cart from a player at a Delaware course, then stealing the victim's truck and driving it to Camden.

Police said Nathan Lewandowski, 26, is suspected in the vehicle thefts Monday morning at Baywood Greens in Millsboro, Del.

Lewandowski stole the cart from someone who was playing on the course, drove it to the parking lot, and took vehicle keys from a storage compartment in the cart, according to Delaware State Police.

He then used the key fob to find the victim's truck and drove off, police said.

Officials said Wednesday that the truck was found in Camden, about 125 miles away. Lewandowski, of Millsboro, may still be in the Camden area, police said.

He is also wanted for several other crimes this month in the Long Neck, Del., area, including burglary, weapons charges, theft, and offensive touching.

Anyone with information about his whereabouts can call police at 302-752-3800 or Delaware Crime Stoppers at 1-800-TIP-3333. Tipsters can also submit information online at www.delaware.crimestoppersweb.com or by sending a text message to 274637 using the keyword "DSP."
