Police seek men who threatened Frankford resident with gun

A Frankford resident who asked a couple arguing near his home to leave because he had children nearby got more than he bargained for and was threatened with a gun, police said Wednesday.

A Frankford resident who asked a couple arguing near his home to leave because he had children nearby got more than he bargained for and was threatened with a gun, police said Wednesday.

Police are seeking the public's help looking for the bad guys.

About 3:45 p.m. June 5, the 35-year-old male resident heard the couple - who had stopped in a white Chrysler minivan in the rear alley on the 5200 block of Jackson Street - arguing, police said.

Video surveillance showed a man wearing a black Levi's shirt getting out of the front-passenger seat of the minivan, and a woman getting out of the driver's seat. The woman punched the man, grabbed something from the front-passenger side of the minivan and threw it at the man.

After the couple fought and argued some more, the resident is seen talking to the man.

The man then called someone on his cellphone.

"Bring that thing," he ordered, according to police. "I got a dude that needs to be taken care of."

A short time later, police said, an older-model Cadillac pulled up to the alley, and another man got out from the rear-passenger side of the car, and pointed a handgun at the resident, who at that time was standing behind a wooden fence.

The resident then backed away, and the man with the gun got back in the Cadillac, which then left. Before he left in the minivan, the man in the Levi's shirt again threatened the resident.

No one was injured.

The man with the Levi's shirt was described as Hispanic, 25- to 30-years-old, with short hair, and a possible tattoo on his face. He was also wearing black-and-gray Army style shorts.

The gunman was also Hispanic and about 25- to 30-years-old. He had a heavy build, a black beard, and was wearing a white short-sleeve shirt, black pants and black sandals.

The white Chrysler minivan had a Pennsylvania tag and possible stickers in the rear window.

The Cadillac was described as silver or gray in color with a sticker in the back window on the upper driver's side corner.

Anyone with information on these two men or the vehicles is asked to call the police tip line at 215-686-TIPS (8477) or call the Northeast Detective Division at 215-686-3153.
