Woman sexually assaulted behind Northeast Wawa
Police apprehended a 44-year-old man Monday night suspected of sexually assaulting a woman behind a Wawa in Northeast Philadelphia.
Police apprehended a 44-year-old man Monday night suspected of sexually assaulting a woman behind a Wawa in Northeast Philadelphia.
The man dragged the 29-year-old woman into a small wooded area behind the store at 9456 State Rd. in Torresdale around 6 p.m., police said.
After a brief struggle, the woman was able to break free and phone authorities, police said. The man, whose name was not immediately released, was later captured on the 9600 block of State Road.
Police said the woman suffered bruises to both arms.
