Man fatally shot in SW Philly

Philadelphia police are investigating a fatal shooting early Saturday in Southwest Philadelphia. About 2:20 a.m., officers responded to a report of a "person with a gun" on the 2100 block of South 66th Street. They found a 26-year-old man inside a Hyundai Sonata, suffering from gunshot wounds to his leg and side, police said.

About 2:20 a.m., officers responded to a report of a "person with a gun" on the 2100 block of South 66th Street. They found a 26-year-old man inside a Hyundai Sonata, suffering from gunshot wounds to his leg and side, police said.

The victim, whose name was not released pending family notification, was taken to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead at 3:14 a.m.

Police said the preliminary investigation indicates the victim had been selling drugs when two unknown men came around a corner and began shooting at him. Police are searching for the two men.
