Two people were killed in separate shootings in the city's Strawberry Mansion and Ogontz sections on Wednesday, police said Thursday.

Two people were killed in separate shootings in the city's Strawberry Mansion and Ogontz sections on Wednesday, police said Thursday.

About 2:20 a.m., police responded to a report of gunshots in Strawberry Mansion. There, they found a 41-year-old man, Angelo Walker, lying unresponsive on the corner of 32nd and Clifford Streets, with multiple gunshot wounds to his abdomen.

Medics pronounced Walker, of the 1900 block of North 32nd Street in Strawberry Mansion, dead at the scene at 2:30 a.m.

Later Wednesday, about 5:20 p.m., police responded to the 1600 block of Widener Place in Ogontz for a report of a shooting. They were informed that a male gunshot victim was taken by private vehicle to Einstein Medical Center.

At the hospital, police found Armon Piedra, 21, being treated for a gunshot wound to his chest. Piedra was pronounced dead at 7:11 p.m.

Police said the initial investigation indicates that Piedra was sitting on his steps on the 1600 block of Widener Place with two other people when a car came down the street, and someone on the passenger side started firing. The car was described as an older-model brown vehicle with multiple occupants.

Police on Thursday were also investigating a shooting late Wednesday in East Germantown that left a man critically wounded.

About 10:30 p.m., officers responded to a report of a shooting on the 2100 block of West Furley Street. There, they found the 31-year-old victim suffering from a gunshot wound to his chest. The man was taken by police to Einstein Medical Center.

Officers with the police Highway Patrol, who were in East Germantown about the time of the shooting, heard gunshots coming from the area of the 2100 block of Conlyn Street, just north of Furley. They investigated, but did not find the shooter.

No arrest has been made in any of the three shootings. Anyone with information on the fatal shootings is asked to contact the Homicide Unit at 215-686-3334 or call 911. As with all homicides, there is a $20,000 reward for information leading to an arrest and conviction.
