Police on Thursday released dramatic video of a shooting on a Hunting Park street earlier this week, and are asking for the public's help in finding the assailants.

About 3:15 p.m. Tuesday, an armed gunman got out of the front-passenger seat of a green Dodge or Plymouth minivan on the 3700 block of North 7th Street, rushed up behind three people walking on the sidewalk, and began firing.

As the victims flee, the driver of the minivan got out and also began firing while the minivan continued rolling down the street, police said. Both gunmen then got back in the minivan and drove away.

Luckily, no one was wounded in the incident.

The video shows clear images of the minivan, which has a distinguishing mark or item on its front windshield.

The two gunmen were described as black, wearing black masks and black-hooded sweatshirts.

One of the victims, police said, ran into a nearby grocery store on Butler Street and said that someone was trying to kill him.

Anyone with information can call the police tip line at 215-686-TIPS or the East Detective Division at 215-686-3243 and ask for Detective Smith.
