Services set for William R. Miller IV

Funeral services will be held Friday, May 6, for longtime Philadelphia political consultant William R. Miller IV. Mr. Miller, 68, of East Mount Airy, helped elect W. Wilson Goode Sr. as the city's first black mayor. His public relations firm, Ross Associates, represented the Philadelphia School District as well as the School Reform Commission.

Funeral services will be held Friday, May 6, for longtime Philadelphia political consultant William R. Miller IV.

Mr. Miller, 68, of East Mount Airy, helped elect W. Wilson Goode Sr. as the city's first black mayor. His public relations firm, Ross Associates, represented the Philadelphia School District as well as the School Reform Commission.

Mr. Miller died Saturday of complications from a stroke at Abington Hospital-Jefferson Health.

Services will be at 11 a.m. at Salem Baptist Church, 610 Summit Ave., Jenkintown, where friends may call beginning at 8 a.m.
