Police are investigating the shooting death of a man found slumped over the wheel of a still-running car early Tuesday in Overbrook.

About 2:10 a.m., officers found the 25-year-old man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to the chest and neck area, in the driver seat of a white Dodge Charger on the 1600 block of North Redfield Street.

The victim, whose name was not released, was pronounced dead by medics at the scene. Police said no arrest has been made.

Chief Inspector Scott Small told reporters that the victim may have been in the Charger for several hours before someone called 911 to report a man who appeared to be in distress. Police said the victim lived on the block.

Anyone with information on this is asked to contact the Homicide Unit at 215-686-3334, or 911. As with all homicides, there is a $20,000 reward for information leading to an arrest and conviction.
