Two men were wounded - one critically - in a double shooting Monday night at a North Philadelphia rooming house, police said.

Two men were wounded - one critically - in a double shooting Monday night at a North Philadelphia rooming house, police said.

Around 8:50 p.m., two men entered the residence in the 2400 block of North 10th Street and proceeded to the second floor, where one of the men shot the two victims, said Chief Inspector Scott Small.

A 54-year-old man was shot in a thigh and a 58-year-old man was shot in a calf, Small said. Both victims were taken to Temple University Hospital, where the younger man was in critical condition and the other man was in stable condition.

Witnesses said the shooter and his accomplice appeared to be men in their 50s. The motive for the shooting was unknown, Small said. - Robert Moran
