Man shot to death in East Frankford

A 30-year-old man was shot to death inside a crowded house Wednesday night in the city's East Frankford section, police said.

About 10:25 p.m., police were called to the 1800 block of Fillmore Street, where they found the man shot in the head on the living room floor, said Chief Inspector Scott Small. Medics pronounced the victim, who lived elsewhere in the city, dead at the scene.

Eight adults and four children were in the house at the time of the shooting, Small said. The assailant opened the front door and opened fire, then ran away. No one else was hurt. - Robert Moran
