Teen slain in West Philadelphia shooting

A teenager was fatally shot Saturday evening in West Philadelphia. Police said the teen, whom they did not identify, was struck several times in the torso. The incident took place in the 800 block of North 41st Street, police said. The teenager was taken to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead about 6 p.m.

Motive for the shooting had not yet been determined, police said. Being sought in connection with the incident was a black man in his early 20s who reportedly fled the scene in a green Ford Crown Victoria with a Pennsylvania license plate.
