PRESIDENT FRANKLIN D. Roosevelt said Dec. 7, 1941, would be a date that will "live in infamy." Yesterday, area veterans gathered to remember the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor 74 years ago, ushering the U.S. into World War II.

Several local events were held to commemorat the anniversary, including a ceremony aboard the Battleship New Jersey in Camden, and memorial service hosted by the Pearl Harbor Remembrance Association at Freedom Foundation in Valley Forge.
