Conference to focus on women leaders

BLUE BELL The Montgomery County Foundation is to host a conference Tuesday for women who work in the nonprofit sector.

The event, aimed at strengthening leadership strategies, is to feature keynote speaker Sheryl Williams and honor County Commissioner Valerie A. Arkoosh.

Williams founded SheWillLead, an organizational consulting and life-coaching firm.

Arkoosh, also the county's interim medical director and a member on the board of the Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commission, is to receive the Woman of Distinction Award. The event is to run from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Blue Bell Country Club, 1800 Tournament Dr. Tickets are required. - Jessica Parks
