The Philadelphia Police Department on Tuesday said it will discipline two police officers who were photographed sleeping in a patrol car.

The department, citing an ongoing investigation, has declined to release the men's names, and said the terms of their punishment will be worked out once the department's Internal Affairs unit finishes its probe of the incident.

The photo, which shows the officers dozing in a squad car, was posted on Saturday and quickly went viral on Twitter. - Aubrey Whelan
