A University of Pennsylvania student has been arrested in connection with last week's fire at the Psi Upsilon Fraternity house, the District Attorney's Office said Thursday.

Lorenzo Bonfiglio, a sophomore from London, was charged with arson, causing catastrophe and related offenses for allegedly starting the fire Friday in a closet at 250 S. 36th St. The fire was extinguished by the house's sprinkler system and no injuries were reported.

University of Pennsylvanian police said Bonfiglio was not on campus Thursday. University officials declined to give details on the fire or the arrest or to comment on a motive. Bonfiglio is a member of the Owls Society, an off-campus social organization.

He was arraigned and released after posting $100,000 bail. His next court date is Nov. 13. - Dani Blum
