Pedestrian killed in Bensalem hit-run

Authorities are investigating a hit-and-run crash that left a pedestrian dead in Bensalem.

A passing motorist reported finding the body of 29-year-old Andrew Miller along the shoulder of the northbound lane of State Road near Mill Road at about 8 a.m. Wednesday, police said.

The striking vehicle did not remain at the scene and police said the accident was believed to have happened sometime Tuesday evening. Investigators believe the Bensalem resident was walking on the shoulder when a vehicle driving north hit him.

The driver contacted officials after news reports about the incident Wednesday morning, police said, adding the investigation remains active.
