Shot twice in the head but still driving

A 29-year-old man who was shot twice in the head - but still able to drive a car in Kensington - was hospitalized in critical but stable condition Tuesday night, police said.

Around 7 p.m. at C and Somerset Streets, police pulled over a red Dodge Magnum that was being driven erratically, said Chief Inspector Scott Small. The officers found the driver had been shot in the right forehead and right cheek and transported him to Temple University Hospital.

The Magnum had two bullet holes in the passenger door and one in the passenger window. The glove compartment was open and police found a gun inside, Small said. The man was conscious and speaking, but declined to tell police where the shooting occurred.
