SEPTA: 11 injured in West Philly bus crash

A medical problem caused the driver to swerve into a traffic light yesterday morning.

A SEPTA DRIVER suffered a medical problem that caused him to swerve and crash into a traffic light in West Philly yesterday morning, leaving 11 passengers injured, according to a SEPTA spokeswoman.

The accident happened at 10:10 a.m. at Lansdowne and Haverford avenues, SEPTA spokeswoman Heather Redfern said. None of the injuries was life-threatening, she added.

The driver and passengers were taken to an area hospital for treatment. Redfern didn't know how many passengers total were on the Route 65 bus, which operates between Germantown Avenue and the 69th Street Terminal.
