Woman, man in stable condition after North Phila. shooting

A 46-year-old woman and a 24-year-old man were hospitalized in stable condition after being wounded in a double shooting Friday night in North Philadelphia, police said.

A 46-year-old woman and a 24-year-old man were hospitalized in stable condition after being wounded in a double shooting Friday night in North Philadelphia, police said.

Shortly after 10 p.m. in the 2400 block of Nicholas Street, the woman was struck twice in the torso and the man was hit in an arm and a leg by gunfire that came from a dark-colored Ford F-150 truck, police said. Nine shell casings from two guns were found at the scene.

The woman was taken by private automobile to St. Joseph's Hospital. The man was taken by private automobile to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. Police reported no arrests. - Robert Moran
